The Covenant affirms that evangelism is both the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel. However, in a culture where people communicate more through machines than on a personal level, we have lost the art of conversation, particularly when it comes to sharing our faith with others. Telling people about Jesus is not supposed to be a monologue filled with all kinds of information that we are trying to get people to agree with. Rather, we engage in conversations as dialogues listening and learning about the other person always being sensitive and looking for open doors to share our faith story as well.
Brian McLaren says that we should “count conversations not conversions.” You never know how one conversation might lead someone one step closer to Christ than where they were before you started talking.

Missional Conversations (pdf)
We affirm that evangelism is both the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel. Throughout the Bible we have examples of people telling others of the good news of Jesus. We have much to learn from these heroes of the faith. How did they begin? What did they say? How did they say it?
Spiritual Friendships (pdf)
This resource is taken from Rick Richardson’s book, Reimagining Evangelism. Basically, he outlines 7 things that are helpful when considering how we befriend people who don’t know Jesus yet.
Language Shifts (pdf)
Evangelism is more difficult in today’s world than ever before. Therefore, it is important to understand how language connects differently today with people particularly in relationship to sharing our faith with others. This resource highlights a shift from evangelism as a presentation of information to helping people connect their story to God’s story.
